This painting powerfully depicts the divine connection of three women coming together in unified prayer. Each woman is portrayed deeply engaged in prayer, their postures reflecting humility and reverence. As they pray together, a radiant fusion of light begins to form around them, a symbolic representation of their collective prayers ascending into heaven, piercing through the darkness that surrounds them.

The light takes on a dynamic form, rising like incense, breaking through the hard, concrete ceiling of a rural environment. Yet, their prayer enforces a divine opening, revealing a chalice cup symbolising their prayers being received in heaven, a sacred vessel that gathers their deepest desires and petitions. Surrounding the women is a warm, radiant glow, a representation of divine glory. This glow is not only the light generated from their prayers, but the glory of the Spirit of God encircling them in protection. This divine fire is untamed, symbolising the raw power of God’s love and the strength that comes from unity in prayer.

The flames are not destructive but are instead purifying and energising, illustrating the verse, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of thee” –  Matthew 18:20. The painting demonstrates that through prayer and unity, they can break through even the hardest barriers of life. The painting is a testament to the transformative energy that flows when individuals come together in faith, allowing divine glory to manifest among them.
